Leisurely hike through the nature reserve Suldtal

A mysterious little forest, a rushing stream and a thunderous waterfall: In the Suldtal there are all sorts of things to discover!

The Suldtal is the perfect destination for your family excursion: Leisurely walk along the Suld, on the way lots of picknick areas and firepits are inviting to use. The hike from Aeschiried to the Suld takes about one hour. Behind the valley the Pochten fall awaits you. The waterfall is worth a visit: On the Pochtenfall circular trail you can admire the majestic natural wonder from various perspectives.

Hungry? Fortify yourself in the cosy restaurant Pochtenfall! Here you can enjoy traditional cuisine with Swiss specialties. There is also a large terrace to soak in the sun and relax.

Tip: For experienced mountaineers the walk which takes several hours is worth it for the view from the Suldtal of the Morgenberghorn: From the summit at 2’248 meters high you can enjoy the unique view of Lake Thun and Lake Brienz.

Take note, so that your trip will be perfect

  • On the weekends and holidays, from July to October the Post Bus takes you from Aeschried to Suldtal (for a fee)

  • With the PanoramaCard (guest card Lake Thun) you can take the Post Bus for free to Aeschi and drive further into the Suldtal (the Suldtal bus only operates on the weekends in the summer)
