Church Einigen

Church Einigen: Energy spot and popular wedding location

  • Einigen
The church in Einigen belongs to twelve 1000-year old churches on Lake Thun and is a frequently visited energy spot. Not least due to its picturesque location, the «Einiger Chileli» is also a popular church for weddings.

The church in Einigen is located on the shore of Lake Thun, directly next to the boat station. According to the statement in the Strättliger-chronic the «Einiger Chileli» is the mother church of the twelve 1000-year old churches on Lake Thun. The church is especially popular and well-known with wedding couples. It offers space for about 80 people. In the early days the pilgrim church offered many hikers and pilgrims refuge to prayer. To date the church is considered to be an energy spot. Three of the four bells of the Church Einigen are still rung by hand.

Mystical energy spot

The existing church dates from the 10th to 11th century, but its origins go back already to the 7th century.

Visitors and passers-by Immediately feel touched by the tangible mysticism and energy which comes from this century old church.
